| Cert III in Disability Care |
The qualification CHC30408 - Certificate III in Disability is intended for those who are currently working in the Home and Community Care Industry and wish to quickly gain professional recognition of their skills and knowledge, or alternatively those who wish to enter the profession with the necessary skills and knowledge to accept a professional level of responsibility.
The course comprises ten (10) core and four (4) elective units of competency from the CHC08 Community Services Training Package. QualityCare Training Institute has developed a program that meets the requirements of the qualification, as shown below. Alternative combinations of units of competency are possible within the rules of the training package, potential participants wishing to discuss alternative units should contact QualityCare Training Institute's office.
The format for delivery/assessment is based on a twenty (20) week training program comprising of three evening sessions of 4 hours and one weekend session of 8 hours per week (total of 20 hrs per week). The course is delivered with an initial 13 weeks in the theory classroom, followed by seven weeks (of 40 hrs per week) in a clinical placement. |
