| The qualification CHC30308 – Certificate III in Home and Community Care is intended for those who are currently working in the Home and Community Care Industry, or who have a medical background and wish to quickly gain professional recognition of their skills and knowledge.
The course consists of fourteen (14) units of competency comprising of a minimum of ten (10) core and, and four (4) elective units from the CHC08 Community Services Training Package.
QualityCare Training Services has developed a program that meets the requirements of the qualification, as shown below. Alternative combinations of units of competency are possible within the rules of the training package; potential participants wishing to discuss alternative units should contact QualityCare Training Service’s office.
The format for delivery/assessment is based on a eighteen (18) week training program comprising of three evening sessions of 4 hours and one weekend session of 8 hours per week (total of 20 hrs per week). The course is delivered with an initial 12 weeks in the theory classroom, followed by six weeks (of 40hrs per week) in a clinical placement. |
