| Cert III in Aged Care |
The qualification CHC30208 - Certificate III in Aged Care is intended for those who are currently working in the Aged Care Industry and wish to quickly gain professional recognition of their skills and knowledge, or alternatively those who wish to enter the profession with the necessary skills and knowledge to accept a professional level of responsibility.
The course consists of Fourteen (14) units of competency comprising of a minimum of ten (10) core and, and Four (4) other units from the CHC08 Community Services Training Package.
QualityCare Training Institute has developed a program that meets the requirements of the qualification, as shown below. Alternative combinations of units of competency are possible within the rules of the training package; potential participants wishing to discuss alternative units should contact QualityCare Training Institute's office.
The format for delivery/assessment is based on a eighteen (18) weeks training program comprising of three evening sessions of 4 hours and one weekend session of 8 hours per week (total of 20 hrs per week). The course is delivered with an initial 12 weeks in the theory classroom, followed by six weeks of 40hrs per weeks in a clinical placement. |
